A For Andromeda (1961)
A for Andromeda sees the construction of an alien designed computer by scientist John Fleming (Peter Halliday). Once built, however, the computer secretly kills one of the lab assistants Christine (Julie Christie), then gives detailed instructions for a new biological organism to be created, which quickly develops into a fully grown woman, almost identical to Christine, now known as Andromeda. Fleming becomes convinced the computer is intent on world domination and must be destroyed, but both the British Government and the computer have other ideas...
only 1 complete episodes exists (ep 6 "The Face of the Tiger"), and includes a commentary with actor Peter Halliday and Producer Michael Hayes as a special feature.
All existing footage from the other episodes is included on this three disc set, plus a full run of telesnap images to fill in the gaps with accompanying text narrative.
