The Complete Series 1 (1975)

The classic drama series show on BBC TV during the mid seventies. Ex-Sergeant Jack Ford returns home to Gallowshields on Tyneside at the end of World War One. Times are hard and Jack finds his hometown gripped by decline and unemployment. He soon falls in with the Seaton family and is determined to make his mark on the world.
