sci-fi drama had always been a strong point of particular ITV
network companies during the 1970s, and here's proof that it was
still alive and well at Thames Television into the 1980s. Chocky
(1984), developed by Anthony Read out of the John Wyndham novel gave
us an enjoyable 6 part encounter with an intelligence from another
world. Chocky's Children (1985) and Chocky's Challenge (1985) that
followed were credible sequels.
